The architects’ office Rack developed a new room layout with spacious functional areas in a warm atmosphere for the VR Bank Main-Kinzig eG in Freigericht-Somborn, Germany. Convex wall projections divide the area with the ATMs that are accessible 24 hours a day. The semicircular service area features welcoming dialogue counters. These lead on to cubic meeting and interview rooms with semi-transparent walls. The floor covering underlines the interaction of square and rounded shapes. Light gray stone tiles interchange with Carpet Concept's Ply carpet with its flowing shapes in warm grays and reds. The carpets were laid both in the public area as well as in the back-office areas on the first and second floors. The signature color of the financial institute, orange, features both in the furnishings and on wall partitions to provide recurring eye-catchers throughout the premises.
