Designliga has designed and created a pop-up store for the Hahn Group, the leading Porsche dealer for the Stuttgart region in southern Germany. The store is located in Breuningerland Sindelfingen shopping mall. Along the principle of “follow the customer,” this concept enables Porsche markets and dealers to rapidly deploy a wide variety of high-quality temporary sales points anywhere in the world.
In recent years increasing numbers of auto manufacturers have been drawn to the centres of international cities, popular malls and specialist locations frequented by their target groups as they have sought to establish new retail concepts. Flexibility, versatility and presence – particularly where least expected – serve as the heralds of a successful brand relationship at global level.
In parallel, more and more brands are turning to pop-up stores as interim solutions, which offer them the opportunity to test the waters with their target groups in highly competitive locations. In many cases this trend has sparked a form of “pop-up chic” that elevates the art of improvisation to the new normal.
Against this backdrop, Designliga has developed a retail kit that enables Porsche to take rapid, agile action wherever market openings present themselves while also fulfilling the most discerning standards in terms of premium material choices and quality.
The design concept focuses on a flexible framework system of black anodized steel that can perform an array of functions, such as dividing spaces into different zones and showcasing content. The elements can be freely arranged and are scalable, allowing users to devise playful and experimental solutions for creating unique spaces and areas. From vehicle configuration to integration of digital experiences and even contract signings, the kit spans all the essential features of a retail store, which can be combined in line with specific needs and possibilities.
Customizable and versatile, Porsche NOW has a host of possible uses as a branded space, event stage or temporary point of sale.
Its modular structure enables it to reflect a variety of customer journeys. The coordinated elements allow locations 50 to 350 square meters in area to be designed in line with individual requirements.
Designliga is responsible for the design of the pop-up kit, for the associated communication in the form of a video and compact planning manual, and for the implementation of the Sindelfingen pop-up store.
Launched internationally last year, the concept is generating enormous interest all over the world, with initial takers in Japan, Taiwan, Canada and Brazil.
The pop-up store commissioned by Hahn Group for a 170-square-meter location at Breuningerland Sindelfingen was opened on May 13, 2020. The store managers reviewed operations after two months and now look forward to numerous meetings with prospective new customers, where spontaneous walk-ins have been converted into exciting leads. The store will continue to be open for visitors at this location until December 2020.
