André Lurçat (1894-1970) began his career as an architect in the agency of Robert Mallet-Stevens. Between 1924 and 1926, he built no less than 8 houses within the sublime Villa Seurat. They were dedicated to artists: the paintors Jean Lurçat (his brother) or Marcel Gromaire, the sculptor Arnold Huggler, etc. In 1926, the paintor Walter Guggenbühl entrusted him to the construction of his house, facing parc Montsouris.
The villa Guggenbuhl has since been divided into 2 apartments. This project consisted in renovating one of the 100m2 apartments located on the 2nd, 3rd, and 4th floors of the house.
