The single-family house, built in the 1920s, is in a beautiful location on Lake Zurich. We renovated the inside of the house with respect for the old structure. We put emphasis on real materials, good craftsmanship and beautiful details. The highlights include the beautiful herringbone parquet, the bronzed metal handrails in the stairwell, the high-quality carpentry work and the thick natural stone plate in the kitchen, in combination with the color concept. The biggest challenges were the old wooden beams, ceilings, floors and the wooden stairs, which have sagged over the years and creaked loudly.
