Le Jardinier is designed by award-winning Parisian architect Joseph Dirand, renowned for projects including LouLou, Monsieur Bleu and Le Flandrin restaurants in Paris, and The Four Seasons Hotel at the Surf Club and Le Sirenuse restaurant in Miami Beach. The two distinct dining concepts bridge the first and second levels of a Foster + Partners designed luxury residential condominium tower by developer Aby Rosen. The 62-seat Le Jardinier reflects Dirand’s exquisite modernist style and evokes an aura of tranquility. For the ground level, Dirand has created a beautiful, light-filled space -- a journey into a serene lush indoor garden, an escape in contrast to the glass building and urban surroundings of Midtown Manhattan. Interior elements are one-of-a-kind, custom-made with green-marble walls and floors with a composition of plants and vertical louvers adorn the floor to ceiling windows to match the vegetable-driven menu. Craftsman work is by French artisans based in New York City.
A monumental marble staircase leads guests up to Shun, with its intimate and luxurious dining room, and Bar Shun, a stylish bar with double-height ceilings and floor to ceiling windows. Shun, along with Bar Shun, will open in June 2019.
