LACIVIDINA FURNISHES NEW UNICREDIT BRANCHES
Armchairs and sofas designed for the Italian company by Antonio Rodriguez were used in the interior design scheme by the Matteo Thun & Partners architecture firm for the flagship branch in the Porta Nuova - Garibaldi area of Milan. The supply deal also covers the branch in Verona and it will soon be extended throughout Italy
MARTIGNACCO (UDINE) – The Italian company LaCividina has been a specialist designer and manufacturer of upholstered products for the contract and residential markets since 1976. Its creations can now be seen in the new flagship branch of UniCredit inside the UniCredit Tower, which is one of the new landmark buildings in the Porta Nuova – Garibaldi area. It is part of a large urban redevelopment project: the biggest ever carried out in the centre of Milan and one of the main initiatives of its kind in Europe.
The architecture firm Matteo Thun & Partners is responsible for the interior design scheme, which features large, dynamic spaces spread across two floors. They are connected by a bright foyer that is brought to life by numerous evergreen plants.
Spanning more than 670 m², the surroundings are pleasantly informal thanks to the alternation of offices and refined seating areas. The latter contain armchairs and sofas from the 1950s-inspired Serie 50_W collection designed for LaCividina by Antonio Rodriguez.
The choice fell on soft hues and natural materials such as marble and wood. Thanks to the distinctive, elegant ash legs of the items in the Serie 50_W range, the collection by LaCividina is the perfect match for the concept by Matteo Thun & Partners. The original overall effect has a stunning aesthetic impact due to the choice of red and grey tones for the upholstery of the armchairs, lounge chairs and two-seater sofas that LaCividina supplied for UniCredit’s flagship branch.
The furnishing concept developed for the location in Milan has also been used in the branch on the breathtaking Piazza Bra in Verona and it will soon be extended to UniCredit branches throughout Italy. The creations supplied by LaCividina for this project reveal the stylistic research and expert craftsmanship of the company, which epitomizes the quintessential excellence of the finest Italian output with every one of its designs.
