Amsterdam's famed Pulitzer Amsterdam is a historic hotel of twenty-five canal houses with over 400 years of heritage. It celebrates quintessential Dutch elegance and style and blends modern and traditional influences. The design concept is inspired by a contemporary twist on the elegant gables of Amsterdam's canal houses, which give the city its unique skyline and architecture.
Pulitzer Amsterdam overlooks two of the city’s most picturesque canals, Prinsengracht and Keizersgracht, and is located in the heart of the old city centre, close to the Royal Palace and on the doorstep of the colourful Jordaan neighbourhood. No two rooms or suites are alike and each balances Amsterdam's rich past and contemporary present in an eclectic mix of finishes, designs and elements which complement each room's individual charm.
This unique space of the Restaurant Jansz was once home to the 17th-century craftsman Volkert Jansz: a man with discerning taste, a keen eye for style, and a passion for scintillating conversation and debate. He embraced the finer things in life, but also believed that decadence and luxury was more enjoyable when shared.
The glamour of long lost times enters the modern-day at the Pulitzer's Bar. This timeless hotel bar tells a contemporary tale while embracing history with its effortlessly elegant atmosphere. The interior captures the accessible elegance of old school hotel bars in a monumental Amsterdam building with its own entrance at the Keizersgracht. One could easily flee the bustle of the city, yet overlook its signature canals, in one of the comfortable armchairs or talk the night away at the impressive Art Deco style bar.
The Pulitzer gardens occupy a surprising green oasis nestled at the centre of the hotel. Away from the hustle and bustle of the city, it is a tranquil hideaway among seasonal plants and playful sculptures.
