Due to the complex ceiling structure, the main challenge was the transformation of the foyer into an inviting space, providing serenity and elegance. On top, a high uniformity was part of the lighting brief, to serve the various events held in the space with a well balanced illumination. The proposal, to change the former white ceiling into a solid blue surface came from the lighting designers and is an important feature in the lighting concept. Small LED-luminaires with precise optics have been seemlessly integrated in the ceiling, and the reflection of the floor supports the generous spatial feeling. LED-Lines follow the main edges of the various voids in the ceiling, to enhance their impact in the space.
