Three years ago, Danish singer Mads Langer and his wife Julie Lillelund moved into their new – old – house in Hellerup near Copenhagen. They knew they wanted a large bathroom, so they converted a bedroom on the first floor into what is now their bathroom. And an unusual one of a kind, with a large blue freestanding bathtub, lavender-coloured floor tiles, imposing chandelier, pink sofa, floral wallpaper through to matching curtains. The colour palette and furnishings in the room are all brought into harmonious alignment with the stylish curation of their own beautiful vintage accessories and the well-executed brass detailing.
It is not a bath that shyly hides away in a corner of the house. To that extent, it has the coolness factor with attitude, with cheekiness, with lots of star quality – but it is also romantic, poetic, and soulful without being too cute.
The attention to detail came into play with the inclusion of the exclusive brass elements by Unidrain, with their heritage in Danish design they were the ideal solution for the custom-made HighLine floor drain that spans two showers in length. The stylish toilet roll holder, spare toilet roll holder and toilet brush are all from Unidrain’s Reframe Collection and their immersion within the design helps to create both a visual balance and continuity in dialogue with the other brass items in the bathroom.
