The window over the courtyard
The apartment is on the top floor in Barcelona’s Eixample district. The view onto the courtyard is typical for apartments in this district. The architect duo Acabado Mate has succeeded in reviving the current long corridor. Using transparent and opaque room dividers and different flooring they have created a new perspective of space. The result is an urban retreat created by light and silence. The FRIDAY 1 armchair and PLAISIR 1 side table are made from American walnut; the shade is reflected in the glazing frames.
