×Danish design brand MENU creates products that aim to make the world less complicated and more enjoyable to live in. Its Harbour Chair epitomises these ambitions, offering a sculptural and minimal expression that is suited to use in a wide variety of contexts. The simple form, which balances geometric and organic shapes, has been applied to a series of seating solutions including a versatile dining chair and a swivel-based office chair. The latest addition to the Harbour family is a lounge chair that adds laid-back comfort to the collection.

The chair’s solid yet lightweight design features a wooden frame and upholstered shell that cradles and supports the sitter
×The original Harbour Chair was designed by regular MENU collaborator, Norm Architects, with an organically shaped shell that envelops the sitter and offers maximum support. The new iteration retains the solid yet lightweight construction of the initial design and translates it into a fully upholstered chair that is equally suited to Scandi-style residential spaces, hotel lobbies or workplaces.
The pursuit of optimal comfort resulted in a low-slung frame supporting a generous shell with a wide back that provides ample space to relax. The solid wood frame features rounded legs and subtle joinery that contributes to its sophisticated character. Like its predecessors, the Harbour Lounge Chair is available in a range of materials and colour options that allow it to fit into any interior scheme. The solid wood frame can be specified in natural, stained or black oak and walnut, while the upholstery is available in a range of tactile yet robust fabrics in contemporary colourways.
