×Architects Izabela Sylwia Nowak and Michal Czerwiński have completed a total renovation of the offices of Volvo Group Trucks Poland, creating a modern working environment with a Scandinavian influence reinforced by furniture and fittings from Swedish brand Kinnarps.
"Our primary goal was to create a modern space designed in line with the latest global office trends,” said Monika Ślęzak, General Services Manager at Volvo Group Trucks Poland, one of the world’s leading producers of trucks, buses and construction equipment. The company takes pride in its Swedish roots and its “people first” approach and wanted to see this reflected in its new office space, which encourages a more relaxed and open atmosphere. “We wanted to tie in with the Swedish architectural style, so as to evoke the culture and values espoused by our company,” explained Ślęzak.
The modern new office space features different areas for focused and group work as well as communal spaces, defined through a combination of furniture choices, lighting and colour

×The new design encompasses 60 workstations, with ergonomic seating in the form of Kinnarps’ Plus or Capella chairs, as well as a central, open kitchen around which various seating options are arranged. Kinnarps furniture is used throughout to add comfort and help define the different uses of the space, including breakout areas, tranquil meeting rooms, pods for focused work and phone calls and colourful open spaces that can be partitioned to create sections for presentations or yoga classes.
The architects' vision was for an office that employees would actually want to spend time in. "A workplace’s quality has a discernible effect on employee relations, therefore an office venue should above all provide comfort, bolstering well-being and efficiency," said Nowak. "Our desire was to create an interior that was timeless and future-proof, as reflected in our choice of materials, colours and shapes."
