Design responsibility in the era of social change at 'ICONIC AWARDS 2024: Interior Products'

A high-calibre jury of international experts from the design and architecture industry, including Ester Bruzkus (Ester Bruzkus Architekten) and Antonio Rodriguez (Matteo Thun & Partners), evaluated over 300 submissions and selected numerous innovations for the award.

With nine main categories, as well as special awards for 'Brand of the Year' and 'Creator of the Year,' the award represents excellence within the international industry. Particularly noteworthy were the forward-thinking product developments and sustainable approaches in product and furniture design that were honoured. Manufacturers and designers showcased clever modular products, emphasising reduced material usage and the development of smart technical solutions.

The design studio Formafantasma, founded by Italian designers Andrea Trimarchi and Simone Farresin, was voted 'Creator of the Year' by the jury. The Spanish company Vibia Lighting, founded in 1987, received the special 'Brand of the Year' award.

To emphasize the internationality of the award-winning projects, the German Design Council presented the 'ICONIC AWARDS: Interior Products' at the Salone del Mobile in Milan for the first time this year.
