Luminaires by SERIEN.LIGHTING are always more than just light-producing solids: the independence of their forms and functions gives them an utterly compelling quality as well.

×Almost 30 years after it was founded, serien.lighting has become a constant in the field of technically and creatively ambitious luminaires. Time after time, the company gives the market new impetus with designs that combine sophisticated lighting solutions, new technologies and creative innovations. Manfred Wolf and Jean-Marc da Costa designed the first luminaires for their collection whilst still students at Offenbach University of Art and Design – and serien.lighting has stood for innovative luminaire solutions ever since. The minimalist and meticulously clear-cut "SML" range, for instance, has become a firm favourite with architects. In the case of "Poppy", bimetal makes the shade open and close in response to the heat from the light source. "Take Five", Zoom" and "Twin" use the concertina principle to create some surprising new adjustment possibilities. And "Annex" provides a fitting answer to the quest for a compelling luminaire for central ceiling outlets.

×When it comes to the development of its new products, the serien.lighting team allows itself the luxury of taking its time: it refines the shape of the light until it has achieved the perfect lighting effect, devised a filigree technical structure and found an independent, contemporary form of expression in which nothing is superfluous and nothing is missing. Only then is the luminaire launched.
