Sea floor: PLACES OF ORIGIN by OBJECT CARPET

The nature-inspired collection of carpets and SL acoustic tiles fascinates with every single fibre, and this is not meant figuratively. The eight attractive designs ARCTIC, CANYON, DUNE, REEF, AREA, FOREST, OCEAN and FIELD, which provide architects with wonderful scope for design, share a common basis that makes this innovation particularly exciting.

They are made of ECONYL from Aquafil, a 100 percent recycled polyamide yarn, which comes from discarded fishing nets salvaged from the sea, among other things, and is processed with pioneering production technology into high-quality nylon without the slightest reduction in quality. Piping offcuts are returned to the production cycle. The finished and tested allergy-friendly product not only creates impressive room scenarios, but also demonstrably contributes to an improved room climate by binding fine dust and refining acoustics.

What counts for OBJECT CARPET first and foremost is the holistic ideal – an ideal that an honest, sustainable product consistently requires. Not only the now, but also the before and after play an equally important role. The individual elements for creating these extraordinary, nature-inspired flooring landscapes, which are available as sheet material, SL acoustic tiles and RUGX, are free of petroleum-based bitumen, latex and PVC. They are manufactured in Germany using the latest, material-saving tufting technology, utilise sustainable energy and are processed into completely new products.
