A new addition to the family: With the Filo table the EOOS design team has conceived a table to match the success of the Filo office chair. Bene’s new conference and meeting furniture line will be unveiled at Orgatec 2008.

The Filo table defines areas for concentrated communication. With its new table line, Bene is presenting an intelligent system for conferences and meetings, just in time for Orgatec 2008. The Filo table was designed by the Vienna-based design team of EOOS, who conceived the Filo family with the introduction of the Filo chair in 2004. Bene’s Filo table makes the perfect addition to the successful swivel chair line. Just as the Filo chair, so too the new table line convinces through its understatement: The state-of-the-art technology is subtly concealed within the table, leaving the surface untouched, to create a smooth table top, as far as the eye can see. The design by the EOOS design team (including Martin Bergmann, Gernot Bohmann and Harald Gründl) has proved very successful: “The view across the table top creates a sense of calm”, says Martin Bergmann, “every meeting requires concentration.” Free from distraction.

In communication areas the Filo table remains in the background and does not dominate the space. At meetings and conferences, the people should be the focus, not the table. The Filo table accommodates the needs of its users, fulfilling its actual purpose: working as an assisting tool, an instrument, not an end in itself. Conscious of its restrained qualities, the Filo table reveals its technical features only at a closer look.

Filo table is versatile.

This configuration can be adapted for individual meeting requirement. Adaptable thanks to its modular system and user-friendliness, the Filo table accommodates specific needs for every room and meeting scenario. As a small conference table it seats two to six people. It is suitable for large boardroom scenarios and, available in a variety of shapes, can be used in different combinations – in a linear setting, rectangular or boat-shaped arrangements.

Filo table offers elegant perspectives.

The Filo table opens up new perspectives: The larger the table, the more delicate its design aesthetic appears. Bene’s Filo table comes with slender table legs made of dry cast aluminum, lending an air of lightness to the table. The table top is braced by four frame elements, joined on the underside of the table. This intelligent system can be extended when required as the table connects easily to other table tops. The table legs, shaped like antlers, ensure support and safety. The clear and elegant rhythmic form is a central design theme: One table leg supports two table tops, whilst the continuous edges give the table a seamless appearance.


Filo table provides integrated communication in an understated manner.

The Filo table boasts a completely smooth surface: Media technology elements make way for elegant design. Cables are routed, well concealed, via cable ducts to a media panel, mounted on the underside of the table. From here the communication technology is routed via flat modules covered with flaps to the table edges. Sockets are easily accessible, yet hidden under the surface, ensuring a smooth appearance. This novel concept fuses function and design. It is an innovation that sets new standards for communication at the office. Exclusive veneered and varnished surfaces introduce bright, gleaming finishes, enhancing the charming character of the most recent addition to the Filo family.
