×Every architect or building owner knows that as the size of a property increases, so too do the demands on its management and security. Fortunately, today there are networked systems that can be used to instantaneously and remotely ensure security and energy efficiency. These systems transform an analogue building into a digitally controllable structure – into a ‘smart home’, so to speak. In other words, a house that thinks for itself and provides information on the situation wherever and whenever you need it.
Busch-Jaeger is a company that has long been committed to the many aspects of building technology. It was founded in 1926, but its roots go back even further, to the year 1879. Today there may be various suppliers in this field, but what sets this Lüdenscheid-based company apart from them is the clarity and simplicity of its various product groups and systems, and how seamlessly they can be networked with each other.

×Numerous design awards say it best – whether in relation to outstanding design of products, interfaces of control devices, apps, or the company website. The recently redesigned website has a clear visual language that matches the corporate design, as well as a very simple information structure, so that users can find their way around intuitively despite the size of the site and the large number of different sections.
In addition, the online catalogue and product configurator have been newly revised, naturally with the aim of making navigation and individual selection as easy as possible. With the cancellation of many trade fairs this year – including Light+Building – and personal meetings, therefore, no longer an option in many cases, the extensive digital range from Busch-Jaeger is an excellent alternative for discovering innovations, solutions and products. To this end, Busch-Jaeger has developed a comprehensive and attractive online magazine with all the highlights from the areas of Smarter Home, Smarter Building and Smarter Mobility:

×One of the special features of the three large system families from Busch-Jaeger is that they each function as an individual solution, as a pair and as a networked trio: In addition, there is Busch-Welcome®, which combines all the issues of door communication and access authorisation. There is also Busch-secure@home, which combines all security-relevant technologies, and the Busch-free@home® system which encompasses technology for modern home control via smartphone, tablet computer or conventional control via switches and panels on the wall. Together, they form the so-called ‘eco-system’ – a term which, in a way, describes the trio of control systems as an umbrella brand.
The design of switches can be selected to match the interior: A wide range of colours and surfaces creates a cosy atmosphere and ensures that switches match their environments

×As an architect, builder or homeowner, you can put together a system to suit your individual needs and spatial conditions, one that fits exactly – and not only in the technical and functional sense, but also from an aesthetic point of view. For example, in the case of switches, a large number of formal variants, colours and materials give you great freedom to choose designs that match a respective architectural style or interior concept – an important factor, as switches, in particular, should not appear as alien elements on the wall, but rather blend harmoniously into the room.
Even on holiday you remain closely connected to your home – and you won’t need to start the return journey with a queasy feeling, worried as to how things are at home once you get back
Those who decide on all three systems create a scenario for themselves and their family members that regulates heat and light in the house in a very energy-efficient and simple manner, but which at the same time ensures significantly increased security with exterior, interior and remote monitoring. This offers users a strong feeling of wellbeing when, for example, the doorbell suddenly rings at an unusual hour or when you're on the road thinking about whether everything is alright at home. It’s true, even on holiday you remain closely connected to your home – and with Busch-Jaeger, you won’t need to start the return journey with a queasy feeling in your stomach, worried as to how things are at home once you get back.
Whether via tablet or a smartphone, the desired heat or lighting levels in a room can be conveniently controlled from the bed or sofa

×It’s this ability to be carefree in relation to the things that you value most that is really priceless – think of that precious record collection, the paintings, the rare pieces of furniture or jewellery. And regardless of whether the main focus is on security, comfort or energy efficiency – all three factors contribute to a greater feeling of wellbeing.
