The high-quality materials and clarity of form typical of Nordic design can also be found in Cecilie Manz’s Luv collection for Duravit – no surprise then to find it in the bathrooms of luxury hotel, Villa Copenhagen.

×If there's one thing we can learn from the Danes, it's how to be happy. Contentment is a precious commodity here. So it's no coincidence that Copenhagen, of all places, is home to one of the most beautiful hotels in the world. The high standards at Villa Copenhagen are reflected in the service, the comfort and the ambience of the carefully restored, former post office building and the design of all 390 rooms.
The built-in tables of Duravit’s Foster series are designed by Sir Norman Foster, and easily meet the demands of a 5-star hotel with its timeless design and high functionality

×The happiness of the Nordic people is also reflected in the design typical of this part of the world, which concentrate on the essentials and seem to find perfection through reduction. High-quality materials emphasise the clarity of form. Danish designer Cecilie Manz takes this design approach to the max so it is no surprise that the bathtubs from the Luv series, which she designed for Duravit, can be found in Villa Copenhagen.
As a free-standing model, Luv impresses with its simplicity and unusual shape, which is reminiscent of a wash bowl. The effect is supported by the DuraSolid® material, which makes it possible to design the walls of the bathtub thin and extremely smooth. As with Luv, Cecilie Manz's purist designs are always based on functionality and comfort.
Villa Copenhagen combines past, present and future to create a unique flair, focusing not only on pleasant luxury and comfort, but also on sustainability and environmental awareness

×In Villa Copenhagen, Cecilie Manz's Nordic style is combined with the simple elegance of Duravit's Foster washbasins. As different as the two creative designers are, they both follow the approach of always rethinking things. Although Norman Foster is British through and through and world-renowned for his prestigious architectural projects, he, like Cecilie Manz, is convinced that minimalism is not a renunciation but rather a gain. And this, should you ever find yourself there, you will experience in the bathrooms of Villa Copenhagen.
