×Last year, the Lindner Group, based based in the Bavarian town of Arnstorf moved into its newly extended business premises. The manufacturer and construction firm, which specialises in interior fit-out, building envelopes and insulation technology, initiated the project under its own steam and naturally relied on products from its own portfolio. Such an approach demonstrates that ecological sustainability as well as social responsibility count among the more important principles lived and promoted by the Lindner Group.
As is known, the construction industry is one of the more resource-intensive economic sectors, and for this reason, it is vital that recycling management and increased sustainability play a more central role going forward. Under the motto ‘Add.Vantage | Rethinking Spaces’, Lindner is committed not only to producing technically high-quality products, but also to considering the effects of the building industry on the environment and the public. Therefore, production is based on the Cradle to Cradle® principle, which includes utilising regenerative energy sources, efficient water management and the use of recyclable or reusable raw materials.

×Biologically tested system products don’t only benefit the environment. Since we spend a large part of our time indoors, our workplace environment can play an enormously important role in our health. In addition to good acoustics and lighting, and an optimal indoor climate, low-emission materials that reduce pollution also help to make rooms healthier.
All of this may sound very promising, but how can it be put into practice? Lindner has an answer to this question. They offer four product ranges for floors, ceilings and partitions, which have been awarded the Cradle to Cradle® certificate for recyclable systems. A good example is the NORTEC raised floor system, which consists of up to 99 percent recycled raw materials. Production is conducted in an environmentally friendly way and is also low in pollutants. With a unique take-back guarantee – which can even be combined with a leasing package – Lindner takes back the product at the end of the period of use by the client, thereby ensuring that the materials are recycled. And with that, the product cycle comes full circle.

×Many of Lindner's system products can also be easily reassembled and adapted to new circumstances – an important product feature today in view of rapidly changing working environments. Lindner’s free-standing, self-contained ‘room-in-room’ Cube system also offers this flexibility. Without the need for any major building procedures, separate areas can be created quickly and easily – particularly advantageous in the open-plan office.

×Using Lindner products, the Cubes can be individually adapted to the needs and design preferences of the user and offer not only excellent acoustics, but also good ambience as well as extremely low air pollution levels.
In addition to its broad product portfolio, Lindner also offers support in the planning process, right through to the implementation of its construction solutions. In the best case scenario, everything comes from a single source – bringing further added value to the customer.

Lindner has developed a new consulting concept called ‘FLEXup Workplaces’. This idea brings together the advantages of the open-plan office and the more traditional single offices. It offers open areas for interactive teamwork, as well as areas where a quieter atmosphere may be required or where a private discussion might be held.
This concept does away with the alternative desk sharing model – efficient use of existing work areas being achieved instead by the use of flexible design solutions and tools. Ultimately, this results in more workstations with different configurations. Every day, employees choose the right working environment for their upcoming tasks, comparable with choosing the appropriate clothes in the morning.

×Lindner designed its own new office building in Arnstorf under the maxim ‘Add.Vantage | Rethinking Spaces’. Today there are 350 workplaces, whose equipment and the layout of which, were developed in consultation with the employees. Low-emission, recyclable products, such as the NORTEC raised floor system mentioned above as well as the Lindner Life partition systems, ensure a pleasant workspace climate and good acoustics. The project has resulted in a modern, healthier working environment for the company's own employees, and only reflects the company's demands for a more responsible and forward-looking production and construction industry.
