Flexibility and elegance in workspaces with Minotti

Minotti’s multifunctional, 2021 Collection represents the latest stage in the brand's natural, ongoing evolution. It also reflects the company’s desire to offer new designs suited to the latest developments in living arrangements.

A desire to work from home post-Covid has seen a rise in demand for furniture that is adaptable to home offices or designed specifically for them. And with more people now choosing to work from home, the need for this is greater still. Meanwhile, workplaces today are increasingly designed to feel homely, and are being kitted out with furniture that is stylish rather than institutional. This has resulted in a similarity between domestic and office furniture, with some of it being almost interchangeable.

Now, in a new departure for the brand, Minotti has crystallised this overlap by launching its Studio Collection, whose inaugural pieces have been designed by Marcio Kogan. These include tables, desks and chairs whose neutral, elegant aesthetic allows them to be multifunctional – adaptable to a broad spectrum of workplaces and spaces.

His elegant but highly functional Superquadra table has a thick top and four aluminium legs with a polished, brandy-coloured finish protruding from the table’s top, enhancing the glamour of the piece. For interior designers, the table is exceptionally desirable given that it comes in four lengths, making it suitable for formal boardrooms and chic home offices alike.

Kogan has even designed a variation on his typically minimal Linha dining table of 2020 – his Linha Studio desk, which has two drawers positioned to the left, giving the user plenty of leg room. It has also acquired a mid-century flavour, thanks to its warm finishes, which also evoke furniture in home offices rather than larger, corporate workplaces. The sides of the desk have a golden brown finish while the top and front have a dark brown, stained palisander Santos wood surface. This nuanced two-tone effect injects even more character into the design.

Furthermore, Kogan has adapted his Daiki chair – in this brand-new version called Daiki Studio – for office use. The hero piece is an executive chair; additionally, there are four armchairs available in different versions. The chairs can be covered in leather or fabric, including high quality, tactile, soft Aspen leather.
