Discover NEFF's kitchen innovations at Salone del Mobile, live or live-streamed

Most participants of Milan’s Salone del Mobile don’t want the people left behind in the office to know quite how much fun they are having. Yes, attending the biggest global design event of the year means a lot of meetings, a whole host of handshakes and tens of thousands of steps a day. But it’s also a place to party. 

For exhibitor NEFF, however, the whole point is the party. NEFF has been on a mission for many years to design kitchen appliances that aren’t simply about flawless functionality producing Michelin quality cooking in the home, but about bringing playfulness to the process, and making the kitchen the centre of the party.

It’s why NEFF’s booth at this year’s EuroCucina – the biennial kitchen exhibition that takes place in the hallowed halls of Rho Fiera Milano during Salone – will be called Flavour District, and will be abuzz with live cooking demonstrations, tasty morsels and DJs playing. It will also be showcasing the NEFF Collection of ovens, hoods, hobs and coffee makers – along with the customising elements of Flex Design and Flex Control. 

These features are conceived specifically to encourage users to interact with the design and the user experience – they are trims that you can use to change the appearance of an appliance (Flex Design), and magnetic control knobs that can move around from appliance to appliance, allowing you to place them exactly how it suits you to (Flex Control). Joined by NEFF’s now iconic Slide and Hide® oven doors, this is a kitchen display you will be positively encouraged to mess around with. ‘We do design in a different way,’ says Ralph Grobleben, NEFF’s Head of Design, explaining that wonder you feel when you interact with these features. ‘It’s an emotional thing – that grabs you.’

Of course, we can’t all be there; indeed, there will be many of us left behind in the office. So NEFF is extending the invitation to those not in reach of Milan with a LinkedIn Live Stream presentation from the Flavour District on Thursday 18th April at 10:30 CET. Hosts, Sarah Francesca Evi (NEFF Italy Brand Communication Manager), Ralf Grobleben and the Italian interior designer and fan of NEFF kitchen design, Diego Thomas, will take you through the innovations. You may have to forgo the snacks, but the assembled experts will bring the fun and functionality of NEFF’s newest designs to you.
