Today’s garden architecture may be more playful and frivolous than ever, the new collection by Belgian architect and designer Vincent Van Duysen for Tribù goes resolutely its own way: tight and sober, with an eye for detail and supported by unique technological knowhow. The result is an every-inch Belgian line in surprising materials: Neutra.

The collection includes an armchair (49x56x77cm), easy chair and footrest (78x67x69cm), lounger (192x76x83cm) and two accessory tables (220x100x72cm / 63x63x69cm). The frame of the chairs has a triangular profile that creates the illusion of extra-fine lines. Both, the chairs and lounger have a matt black inlay on the armrest.

Vincent Van Duysen: “Tribù’s style fits well with what I’m working towards in my architectural projects. No spectacular loud furniture, but a lasting, timeless line with an eye for detail. We also share a love of pure forms and flowing lines and dare to go a step further technologically. In that sense the cooperation with Tribù was especially constructive. The unique technological know-how is a welcome added value in the development of the collection. Thanks to the special technique of injecting aluminium, for example, the frame is completely seamless, which only enhances the design with flowing lines.”

The Neutra collection will be available from Spring 2009.
