Architonic has, of course and for a number of years now, been working actively as your professional guide to what's out there through its sophisticated, database-driven selection of the best of what high-end manufacturing has to offer.

Reflecting our ongoing goal to make the research and planning process as efficient and inspiring as possible, we're piloting an exciting project through our smart, new partnership with pioneering visualisation-software company EasternGraphics, that allows you to configure any product that you find on www.architonic.com (say, an office chair) just how you want it (for example, colour and finish – albeit subject to the permutations available) and to download the tailored visual as a 3ds CAD file.

What's more, we are now able to offer configurations of different products, put together by experts, as dwg files: various conference settings, proven workspace arrangements, etc.

Starting with our two innovation partners for this project – leading design brands Bene and Vitra – Architonic is integrating EasternGraphics' brilliant configuration tool directly into its extensive product database.

This means that even the most complex product groups can be explored and displayed in intricate detail.

Based in Ilmenau, Germany, and made up of a cohort of around 100 software experts, EasternGraphics has made it its mission to innovate in the field of digital visualisation tools that have real business relevance. The result is a suite of state-of-the-art products that, since the company's launch in 1995, have changed the way over 180 office-design manufacturers and other clients show their products.

With a strong focus on the office- and contract-furniture sectors, together with an emphasis on precision technical detail and top-notch graphics, their visual product-configuration systems for 3D design mean planners and other users can explore the vast possibilities that manufacturers' furniture systems have to offer.

With this new offering on www.architonic.com soon to be extended to other leading manufacturers' product presentations, the planning process is set to become a great deal easier.
