At these offices in Breda in The Netherlands, Unilin Panels helped create a relaxing, minimalist environment with high-performance but natural-looking materials to meet a contemporary brief.

×Netherlands-based Art 2 Go Interieurprojecten is an interior design firm which seeks to create characterful spaces that stimulate the senses, and it puts focus on the choice and finesse of the materials to achieve this. In 2020 they took on the design of the new Breda-based offices of software company TrueLime, and discovered textural satisfaction in the material palette offered by Unilin.
'The assignment was to design a future-proof office where employees could work both as a team and for themselves,' says Erik Remmers, co-owner of Art 2 Go. 'The interior design had to have a modern and business-like look with some playful accents.'

×For each team there is a central glass meeting room and several informal meeting spaces, in addition to a few quiet cubicles in the middle of the office. 'We used Unilin 00113/V1A Elegant Black for the cupboards at the desks. As a result, the cabinets became a minimalistic element and provided a nice contrast with the (real) green plants,' explains Remmers.
Of equal importance to the expanding company is a welcoming sense of warmth, consistent with its family origins. A multifunctional space has been created on the ground floor where employees can have lunch, relax in the game corner or simply chat with team members or visitors.

×The choice of materials was key to stamping a familial spirit into the design. 'For the bar, coffee corner and wardrobes, we used Unilin 0H265/V1A Dainty Oak Café Noir because it has a very nice synchronised structure and reflection in it,' says Remmers. 'It has a beautiful dark brown colour, and looks very much like real wood. In combination with the worktop in the playful Unilin 0F254/BST Ceppo Mineral, the whole gets a modern and robust look that fits well in the office interior.' And yet somehow also feels like home.
