×Build for Life is an ambitious new initiative from VELUX created to help create well-being for people and planet through building design. To accelerate the vision of Build for Life, VELUX will host the three-day Build for Life Conference 2021, live from Copenhagen from 15–17 November, during which more than 90 speakers from around the world will address a number of key social and environmental challenges faced by the building industry.
The Build for Life Conference 2021 will bring together architects, builders, engineers, planners, and other industry professionals. Through a series of keynote presentations and panel discussions with thought-leaders, the conference hopes to spark a cross-disciplinary dialogue that will accelerate the development of healthier and more sustainable building strategies, worldwide.
Attendees are invited to join the discussion on how flexible buildings can adapt to change, strengthen communities, support local and cultural contexts and ensure life is affordable for the majority

×During the event, VELUX will introduce the Build for Life Compass, a new framework for designing healthier buildings that will encourage architects, engineers, and professional house builders to use a common language when approaching building design and construction. From the Compass Stage of the Build for Life Conference 2021, speakers will address the building flexibility, quality, affordability, and the ways that our buildings impact the environment, local communities, and human health and well being. The seven questions at the heart of the conference are as follows:
Are our buildings flexible enough to adapt to change?
Does quality of design matter?
Can buildings help to regenerate the environment?
Can buildings support our personal health and wellbeing?
Can buildings help to strengthen communities?
How does contemporary building design support local, cultural contexts?
Do our buildings help to make everyday life affordable for the people?

The Daylight Symposium encourages sharing of scientific knowledge and practical applications by interlinking disciplines that are usually addressed in separated spheres and professional circles.
