Findeisen needled carpets – tradition and future

Findeisen was established in the South German town of Ettlingen in 1921. Here, we started to tear and open, to dissolve and further process fibres – up to 1970, the year of change at Findeisens. With new machines we specialized in manufacturing needled carpets only. Today, we are the world market leader in commercial needled carpets. You will find our products „Made in Germany“ all around the world. This is something we are really proud of.

It is the combination of tradition and innovation that characterizes our company. We take the values and tasks we embody as a family-owned company serious and invest in our company, in the site at Ettlingen and in our staff members, many of them having worked in our company for many years. However, we also know that our reliability as a company bases on change. That is why Findeisen focuses on modern production processes, latest technology and modern design. We present quality in its most beautiful outfit: in every colour and shape you can imagine and according to the requests of our demanding customers.

Just because we feel bound to the values of a family-owned company we focus on sustainability. The future of textile production, in our opinion, is in a responsible dealing with nature. Findeisen, as the first company of its branch, was awarded the„Blue Angel” eco-label for its low-emission needled carpets. Since 2013, we have also produced a new generation of needled carpets that is predominantly made of renewable raw materials. We want to set an example for future generations and handle our resources with great care.

Pioneers in needled carpets
Findeisen is one of the pioneers who, in the second half of the last century, started on a then new technique to manufacture moderately priced and highly robust textile floorings that, in contrast to woven carpets, are produced using the so-called needling technique. Accordingly, these floorings are called needled carpets. Due to their resiliency and their versatile wear layer these needled carpets were ideally suited for use in commercial areas.

Our working approach is always focusing on quality optimization. That means: Research and development of existing and new products has top priority in our quality standards. A creative team of developers and a highly qualified staff plus an ultra-modern own test centre guarantee that, also in future, innovative, top quality concepts and ideas can be realized by Findeisen.
