Since 1935, Troldtekt A/S has been producing cement-bonded wood wool lightweight construction panels in Troldhede, western Denmark, which are used as acoustic-regulating ceiling and wall cladding. The panels are made from the natural material wood and cement from Danish raw material sources.

In addition, Troldtekt panels are certified according to the best indoor climate categories of the Danish product quality seal for indoor climate. This means that Troldtekt acoustic panels do not contain any harmful substances or potential allergens. In 2010, Troldtekt was awarded the Danish Construction Industry Environmental Award for its environmental vision and efforts to embed environmental protection and sustainability throughout the product's entire life cycle. The history of Troldtekt A/S
Troldtekt A/S was founded in 1855 in Aarhus, Denmark as a family business under the name A/S L. Hammerich & Co. (later L. Hammerich A/S).

In 1935, Troldtekt took a step forward and expanded its business from building materials sales to manufacturing. The main product was Troldtekt cement-bonded wood wool lightweight building boards made from the natural material wood and cement from Danish raw material sources, manufactured in Troldhede in West Jutland. Over the years, the production facility has been continually upgraded and modernized, so that Troldtekt is now manufactured under ultra-modern and environmentally friendly conditions.

Troldtekt's headquarters, including marketing and administration, are located in Aarhus, Denmark. In 2015, Troldtekt Deutschland GmbH was founded as the first foreign branch in Hamburg and the Swedish branch Troldtekt AB in Malmö was added the following year. Troldtekt products are sold internationally through an extensive dealer network.
Since 2022, Troldtekt has been part of the Irish Kingspan Group, which supplies the construction industry worldwide with highly efficient building materials.
