Arup Associates was set up in 1963 alongside Ove Arup’s engineering office to develop his concept of ‘total architecture’. Underpinned by Ove's belief that built space will be inspirational when all of its components work in harmony, our holistic design approach integrates expertise from the diverse range of specialists and the amassed body of knowledge across Arup.

We provide beautiful, specialist architecture that is appropriate, economic, and sensitive to environmental and human needs. Our clients come from a wide range of industries and geographies and we design across all scales and types, from master plans to product design. The practice has repeatedly won awards for our projects on the basis of the exceptional standards that they set.

Arup is owned by its employees and therefore unbound by shareholder management or the interests of outside agents.
