BLANK Architects was established in Moscow in 2008, after years of collaboration with group of companies under joint name GROUP-ARCH (years 2002 - 2008).The key philosophy of our design work goes under idea: We make responsible architecture. Our mission: to bring our knowledge and innovation to create architecture that will explore all paths to bring smart, unique, crisp and fresh design.

BLANK Architects is successfully acting as the General Designer for many of our clients’ projects. Undertaking such function we are in charge of full responsibility for the coordination and elaboration of the complete package of project documentation volumes. We deliver a complete suite of services, necessary for the project approval and construction.

As General Designer we create a team that combines experienced Russian Specialists with their International counterparts who are likewise experienced in working in Russia and whose high-quality service we can stand by, easily recommend and deliver on a project by design basis for our clients. With a wide range of international partners we are able to
provide our clients with all kinds of support in the following fields:

Magda Cichon
Managing Partner / General Director / Senior Architect

Magda Cichon started BLANK ARCHITECTS in 2008 after co-founding GROUP-ARCH in 2002. Through a series of projects she has developed a reputation for designing creative public spaces of various scales with great attention to functionality and ambiance. Being the Principal of Blank Architects, she set the vision the company has developed and is today. Magda connects many virtues of BA, where creativity is teamed with rigid project management and technical specialization.

Her focus goes to set BA vision and think ahead to be ahead. Magda specializes in: International Business Development, Contract Negotiation, Client Management, Strategy Planning, Knowledge Management and Communications. Actively participates in key designs at Blank Architects. Interested in developing high quality architecture projects with big attention to the detail.

Lukasz Kaczmarczyk
Partner / Senior Architect/ Head of Concept and Competitions Department

Lukasz Kaczmarczyk is Partner at BLANK ARCHITECTS who brings his expertise to design creations around Russia and beyond. He is the Head of Concept and Competitions Department in BA, responsible for introducing our knowledge on function, space creation and bringing each project to unique proposal. He leads the constant research workshop on creative innovations.

Experienced with big scale mix-use projects both for Russian and International Clients. Lukasz has participated and been shortlisted in WAF 2013 – 2015. He has taken 2nd price in RIBA Vauxhall Competition (London) in 2013 and 2nd price in Mitino Park Competition (Moscow). Lukasz specializes in: Knowledge Management, Communications, Creative Design, Sustainable Design, Press Releases.

Magda Kmita
Partner / Senior Architect/ Head of Interiors and Landscape Design Department

Magda Kmita is Partner at BLANK ARCHITECTS with a significant experience in creative design and project management. She is the Head of Interiors and Landscape Design Department. Through numerous realized projects around Russia she has build significant knowledge showcase. Leading the Team of creative designers, she follows latest design trends and set new destinations.

Her energy and motivation drive is outstanding and has brought many ideas to unique realizations. Magda has taken 2nd price in RIBA Vauxhall Competition (London) in 2013 and participated in number of expositions. Magda specializes in Interior Creative Design, Project Development, Knowledge Management, Communications, Rebranding and Identity.

Szymon Matkowski
Partner / Senior Architect/ Head of Quality Design

Szymon Matkowski is Partner at BLANK ARCHITECTS since the founding year. For 9 years he has been building his experience working for Leading Polish practices - STUDIO EDVARD LACH, OZONE EAST, GROUP-ARCH. With BA Szymon has proven his deep knowledge in Executive, Functional and Safe Architecture. Through numerous projects and realizations he has gained reputation of Experienced Specialist in field of complicated functional, spacial and technical designs.

He has successfully passed many Permit Designs and brought projects to completions. He is expert in Russian design Codes, being invited to discussion on the Codes evolution. Szymon is the head of Quality Design at BA, he is the chairman of BA Design Boards. Szymon specializes in: Design Permits, Detail Design, Design Coordination, Health and Safety Design, Knowledge Management.

Piotr Fafara
Partner / Project Manager/ Head of Project Management and Operations

Piotr Fafara is Partner at BLANK ARCHITECTS. After 10 years of successful cooperation with practices in Poland and Russia, since 2008, he is the Head of Project Management and Operations specializing in Project Management of big scale investments. He leads multidisciplinary teams with time, quality and communications focus. Throughout years of working with BA he brought numerous big operations to successful finale, gaining reputation of dependable, trustworthy and qualified Chief Manager.

He specializes in General Designing of Permit and Working Design Stages. Piotr postgraduated and has finished many specialized in Knowledge and Task Management courses. Piotr specializes in: Contract Negotiation, Client Management, Strategy Planning, Knowledge Management, Project Management, Risk Evaluations.
