brühl creates furniture of eclectic design. The products stand out for their understated luxury and timeless style. Chairs and sofas are amazingly transformable and innovative, evident in pioneering fabrics and shapes. All products are made in Germany and are designed and produced at the company’s headquarters in Bad Steben, Upper Franconia.

Environmental awareness par excellence
Durable products mean brühl cares for the environment. All sofas and chairs exhibit high-quality workmanship and are distinguished by outstanding resilience. The elements of the furniture can be cleanly separated and easily recycled. In 2002, brühl was awarded the Bavarian Environmental Medal for special services to environmental protection and regional development. Since 2009, brühl became the first upholstered furniture manufacturer to be awarded the “Blue Angel” for using materials low in harmful substances and for saving on resources in the manufacture of its products.

Holistic production methods
In terms of architecture, the brühl administration buildings and production sites are sensitively integrated into the green landscape. Production is carried out in as holistic a manner as possible, at workplaces flooded with light. Every employee makes a major contribution to the entire work process. From initial idea to finished product and delivery, brühl seating furniture is made with as much autonomy as possible. Know-how, cooperation and precision go hand in hand. Managing Director Roland Meyer-Brühl explains: “We always develop our new models with the aim of offering our end customers something very special, unusual and unique.”

Award-winning design
Designer Kati Meyer-Brühl studied at Central Saint Martins University in London and at the Parsons School of Design in New York, amongst other places. Her creations are avant-garde and futuristic in style. She has been nominated several times for the Design Prize of the Federal Republic of Germany, as well as having received the “if award” and the “red dot award”. She was given the “Europe 40 under 40” prize by the European Centre for Architecture, Art, Design und Urban Studies for her work on the sustainably manufactured sofa “mosspink” and the push-fit sofa “plupp ap.” with its diverse design elements, inspired by pebbles. Kati Meyer-Brühl is one of Europe’s most important new generation designers.
