Presentation - studio
The Brullet de Luna architecture studio has a base of 19 professionals made up of architects, who work with a network of external collaborators entrusted with distinct aspects such as calculating structures and installations. As regards the completion of hospital buildings, we should mention the continued collaboration of the Pineda Associats office. The experience accumulated over the years of working together provides the network of teams with mechanisms that enable it to deal with wide-ranging projects with total guarantee and solvency.
The office works on both public and private works, especially health centres, but also schools, homes and cultural centres.
The Brullet de Luna studio plans architecture that is based on the user: men and women are the core of its projects. Comfort, domesticity, functionality, spatial appropriateness, ergonomics and feelings are the basis of its work. To sum up, it is a commitment to the humanisation of public and private spaces. From the technical point of view the studio prioritises the constructive act. The construction is the hard core of architecture and, therefore, the constructive rationality, the adaptation of the materials and the relationship between quality and costs are the elements around which a project s organised and which make good architecture possible.
Most of the studio’s work is built in Catalonia, in cities such as Barcelona, Salt, Castelldefels, Vilassar, Premià de Dalt, Pineda de Mar, Tarragona, Salou and Granollers. Of note internationally is the Hedwigshöhe hospital, in Berlin.
The studio has recently completed different projects such as a school in Salou (Prize at the VI Biannual of Architecture of Tarragona), the remodelling of the textile bleaching warehouse by Antonio Gaudí in Mataró (Catalunya Construcció 2008 Prize) and is in the final stages of other noteworthy works such as the Cultural Centre of El Prat de Llobregat, the new hospital of Sant Joan Despí, the Trans-frontier hospital of Puigcerdà, the enlargement of the Hospital del Mar in Barcelona and health centre installations in Sant Andreu.
Among the latest tenders adjudicated feature 200 homes in Gavà, the new hospital of Hospitalet and the new Engineering School in the Forum of Barcelona.
