Porcelain — white gold
Porcelain is a highly valued material thanks to its pure white colour, its remarkable translucent quality, and its especially high durability and hardness.
It is a material with a memory. If a mistake is made in its manufacture, this will come to light by the last ring at the latest. Successful results require experienced, expert craftspeople, lengthy processes and, above all, great patience. The porcelain for our products is shaped in a molten state, red twice over at 1,400°C and polished several times between the two rings. In total, the process requires up to ten stages.
‘Hard porcelain’ is pure white in colour but glows golden when illuminated, producing a warm light and ambience. We are all familiar with porcelain — we use cups and plates made from the material on a daily basis. From our own experience, we all know how resilient it is. Porcelain can go in the dishwasher without a problem or be cleaned by hand using dish detergent.
