MAGGIORI INFORMAZIONI SU FISHER WEISMAN
The hallmark of Fisher Weisman, as described in the New York Times Sunday Magazine, is “drop dead, big city chic.” Andrew Fisher and Jeffry Weisman blend unbridled imagination and a unique artistic sensibility with a highly-restrained design approach and attention to detail. The interiors and furnishings they conceive are individual, enduring and memorable.
Andrew Fisher earned degrees in metal arts, drawing and sculpture at the California College of the Arts and went on to design interiors with John Hallock, create fantasy installations with Tony Duquette, and establish himself as a fine artist with a loyal following. (See Andrew’s gilded tapestries and sculpture at andrewfisherart.com). Jeffry Weisman earned a design degree and an MBA at Stanford. After designing corporate interiors at Skidmore, Owings & Merrill and Gensler, he established his own practice to develop and license product designs with Charles Pfister, later expanding into residential interiors. Andrew and Jeffry joined forces in 2000, founding their eponymous design firm, Fisher Weisman, where they continue to create a wide range of memorable interiors, furniture and lighting.
After buying and renovating an 18th–century home in San Miguel de Allende, Mexico, Fisher and Weisman were inspired to create a line of handcrafted furniture, lighting and accessories, working with the extraordinary craftspeople they discovered in the process. Originally named Casa Acanto, after their home in San Miguel, the Fisher Weisman Collection is offered in fine showrooms in the United States and Mexico.
Fisher Weisman also creates and licenses product designs to top-tier manufacturers including Michael Taylor Designs, the Wicker Works and Boyd Lighting.
Fisher Weisman projects have been extensively published in magazines, books and newspapers internationally. Elle Décor includes the firm in its coveted annual “A-List” of the world’s top designers. The Monacelli Press published Artful Decoration, a monograph on interiors by Fisher Weisman, in 2013. The firm is based in San Francisco and San Miguel de Allende, Mexico.
