Profile
NOMADAS was founded in Maracaibo, Venezuela, in 1999 as an integral team for multi-scale projects: urban, architectural, landscape architecture and interior space projects.
Farid Chacón, Francisco Mustieles and Claudia Urdaneta are the founding team members.
NOMADAS has developed proposals and projects in Venezuela, Colombia, Spain, Croatia, Peru, Chile, Aruba, Curaçao, United States of America and Canada.
In 2013, NOMADAS creates NMD as a communications collective (cultural, academic, research, social work and release).
In 2009, the magazine Arquine in number 50th includes NMD I NOMADAS among the "50 Offices Architects and Designers Emerging Americas pointing to new directions."
In 2013 wins the Biennale of Architecture Award to International Young Generation given by the XIV International Architecture Biennale of Buenos Aires.
In 2014 is chosen to present its work in The Collateral Events of the Mostra Internazionale di Architettura de la Biennale di Venezia 2014.
Also in 2014 wins 4 Awards (one National Prize and three Honorable Mentions) in the XI Venezuela National Biennale of Architecture.
In 2015 wins 3 Awards (one National Prize and two Honorable Mentions) in the IX Biennale Malaussena of Architecture and Urbanism, Valencia, Venezuela.
At present, NMD NOMADAS is conformed of a team of over 30 professionals with different specialties and qualifications.
