In 1994 he graduated from the University of Florence with a degree in architecture. In 1992 he started his career as an industrial designer and worked with several furniture companies. Since his first works, he has received several awards including Young & Design award in
1992 and the Waterly European Award in 1993.
Roberto Paoli's focus is on clean lines with a careful attention to detail. He applies his historical research to creating new uses for alternative materials. He combines his design career with his architectural education to create graphic design for museums, public relations and art direction. He has created designer complementary furnishings, upholstery, computer accessories and items in PVC. His works have been published in some of the most widely read design magazines. He lives and works in Milan and Ancona.
