Stuart McQuarrie is a Toronto based furniture and product designer. After studying furniture design at Sheridan College, he established his own design practice STUART McQUARRIE design, where he has developed furniture, products and lighting. His work has been described as austere and minimalist, humble and sophisticated. What sets his work apart from others is his straightforward, sensible approach to design and his ability to express an uncomplicated use of form and materials.
Most recently, his work has been shown in New York City at the 2007 International Contemporary Furniture Fair (ICFF); in Toronto at the Interior Design Show 2007 (IDS) ; and the Gladstone Hotel in Toronto.
