Profile
Vibhor Sogani, born in Jaipur, Rajasthan, specialised in Industrial Design from the prestigious National Institute of Design, Ahmedabad, India. Given his diverse interests, he engaged in a wide range of creative projects in the areas of exhibition, graphic, retail and product design, for top global brands.
He has made a strong mark in the areas of art & light-based installations. He also handled offbeat projects like developing the country’s first few Go-Karting tracks; redesigning Mumbai’s suburban trains; upgradation of copper craft in Kashmir, designing & producing some of the prominent trophies for international sports matches & Government events.
One of his prominent works is the 40 feet high creation in steel, ‘SPROUTS’, installed in the 6 acres of greens which lies between the flyovers at AIIMS crossing, Delhi. It was a Government initiative towards beautification of Delhi. Today it is considered a Landmark of New Delhi.
In 2002, he launched his Signature Brand of Lifestyle Accessories ‘SOGANI | By Vibhor Sogani’ using Steel in combination with wood, brass, glass etc. which have been exemplar in corporate domain and the hospitality industry, being retailed globally. His design studio, with its R&D center and flagship show-space is spread across 35,000 sq. ft. in New Delhi, with a portfolio of more than 100 indigenous collections of lights. Over the years Vibhor has exhibited his works in various design & art shows.
Recipient of many honours, Vibhor has also been awarded ‘Indian Art Icon of the Year 2014’ in Singapore. He has been recently nominated by the Government as a member of governing body of the India Design Council .
