Italian outdoor lighting specialist Simes are in the business of more than simply illuminating the world outside. And none more so than their new ‘Microlighting for Outdoor’ collection.
The clue is in the name. This new line – 100% made in Italy, as with the rest of Simes’ products – is a response to the needs of lighting designers who desire intelligent solutions for discreetly and stylishly directing light on external elements in a flexible, quick and easy way. That it’s a modular system that can utilise pre-existing junction boxes and has a high IP rating also makes it attractive for installers, too – and in keeping with Simes’ sustainable, recyclable approach.

Opening doors isn’t what it used to be. Take innovative Czech manufacturer of communication solutions 2N, for example, and their new Indoor Compact answering unit – designed specifically with the residential market in mind.
The 2N Indoor Compact is an indoor answering unit, whose maximal performance contrasts with the intuitive, minimalism of its tempered, hardwearing glass interface. The unit allows users to not only communicate with visitors before allowing entry, but to also see them via the unit’s internal IP camera or via integration with the building’s external IP camera system. Additionally, the unit allows visitors to leave messages as well as taking a snapshot, and includes a ‘do not disturb’ function as well as a parental lock. And an easy installation process means it’s a three-way-win – for the installer, visitor and, most importantly, the user.

Ifö Electric’s distinctive Ohm collection was inspired by the old electrical insulators that the Swedish electric and light company started manufacturing over 100 years ago. The new Pendant model is the newest addition to this family of porcelain luminaires and shares the same timeless characteristics as the rest. But there’s something more.
Designed by Kauppi & Kauppi, Ohm Pendant is splash-proof – the first in the collection with this certification – and thus opens up even more application possibilities, notably, of course, in bathrooms or wellness areas.
