Named after Shell Cordovan, a shoemaking leather originating by the Moors in Cordoba, Spain, Cordovan is a select chromium tanned, aniline dyed, natural upholstery leather. The premium selection of raw material is sourced from Scandinavian countries. The retannage, special milling, and unique blend of waxes enrich the product, providing an elegant and supple hand. Cordovan, one of the clearest and most natural leathers, is high performing for a myriad of applications. At the same time, Cordovan has characteristics of a naked leather as it ages beautifully, creating a fine patina over time.
