We wanted to create a skatepark that looked more like an abstract piece of art. Working closely with its users, we developed the concept to incorporate elements that went beyond the functional requirements. The smooth lines and clean finishes of the stairs, rails and ramps help to give the landscaping its sculptural quality. As Industrial Designers, this project was particularly challenging for us, because it was the first time we had to deal with architectural constraints.
