W Hotel DC

W Worldwide tapped acclaimed designer Dianna Wong to help transform the former Hotel Washington into the Capital’s first W location. Wong’s goal was to preserve the historic Beaux Arts architecture of the storied D.C. structure and infuse it with a modern “W” aesthetic.

Just steps from the White House, the Hotel’s location in the country’s “seat of power” served as inspiration for Dianna Wong Architecture and Interior Design Inc. (www.diannawong.com). According to the Los Angeles firm, “There is interplay here between history and fashion, classic and sleek, monumental and sublime. Visually, this W hotel is a delicate balance between restraint and sensuality. The Axor Massaud sinks, faucets and tub filler were selected for the exclusive Wow Suite bath because their modern yet sensual forms perfectly represented our design theme.
