Di Café Deli is a vibrant café with its own bakery - a friendly daily place with casual atmosphere and interior design inspired by the 50s.
It has been created for celebration of the mornings. For busy days with early hours rush and those lazy and calm beginnings of a day when the breakfasts are lasting until dinner. There is always a smell of aromatic coffee and freshly baked bread made according to traditional recipes – without artificial additions and taste improvers.
We developed a concept based on an idea of informal dining room – place of common meals and lively conversations at the large table, encouraging visits not only with company but also alone. The central point of the place is an oval, custom designed dining table accompanied by a grand sideboard with wooden mosaic and a minimalistic marble kitchen island functioning as a bar counter. The kitchen and bakery is easily visible through the walls which are made of translucent structure combining reinforced glass, wood and steel. Other characteristic features of the project are wooden retro chairs produced modernly according to original midcentury project and custom designed wooden benches. Above the common table we created an installation of white, hand made glass lamp shades, while side tables are lit by ‘crane‘ pendants also designed by our studio.
Friendly and easy going café experience is emphasized by the black and white checkerboard floor tiles pattern which also appears on a menu pages – so that guests can use them as a board for checkers game while they are enjoying their coffee or waiting for their lunch.
