Cosily nestled at the bottom of the Adige/Etsch valley just south of Bolzano/Bozen, the house is located in the midst of ample orchards. The lush green of the apple trees, the far-reaching views of the surrounding mountain peaks and the peaceful, sun-spoilt spot make for a truly unique atmosphere – an exceptional mood reflected by the house and translated into slender, open architecture. Gently intertwining with the landscape, it leaves plenty of room for air and light to pour into the building.
The interiors seamlessly align with the roofed terrace and the adjacent garden. On the inside, the house is an open, uncluttered continuum of rooms without corridors or hallways, the surfaces of which are limited to a small choice of select materials. Discreetly equipped with built-in furniture, the inside walls are made from cherry wood in reference to the landmark local fruit-growing traditions. With its glass and aluminium finish, the exterior can be open or closed in its entirety.
