D&G at Baselworld fair

The outstanding feature of the trade fair stand of “D&G Time” and “D&G Jewels”, designed by Dordoni Architetti, based in Milan, in accordance with brand image inputs given by Domenico Dolce and Stefano Gabbana, for the Baselworld 2008 trade fair, was plainly intended to be visually overwhelming. In a comparatively conservative field, a presentation surface installed on the walls and ceiling and consisting of more than 110 000 RGB LEDs, on which brightly coloured video animations were shown with a powerful musical accompaniment, send out a clear signal which made the stand the talker of the trade fair.
The combination of colour and movement, stressed by the pavement made of mirror, gave the impression of a concert stage on which the exhibits, presented in two mirroring cubes, essentially functioned as main characters. Even in the lounge located on the upper floor, the visitor can still experience the fascinating light show.
