Nature-inclusive building is one of the elements for which we are increasingly being called in. A good example is currently taking place at the Zuidas in Amsterdam. There, the Gustav and George residential towers are being built by BAM Wonen. An oasis of green was incorporated for the end users, in the green design of Boom Landscaping. In collaboration with Van der Tol B.V., planters were developed for this purpose, which were completely prefabricated and planted on top of the balconies. In total, the residential towers have twelve floors and involve over 624 linear meters of aluminium planters, which means that more than 3,000 plants have been processed. The planters are coated with a high-quality Qualicoat class 2 powder coating, the quality label for coating metal in architecture.
