In the historic town hall, centrally located on Jesuitenplatz in Koblenz's city centre, the premises of the former tourist information office were converted into a wedding room.
The fixtures from the 80s were dismantled and the dark basalt lava floor was refurbished. A new warm clay plaster on the ceilings and walls creates a strong contrast to the floor and the half-height, all-round wall panelling, which provides a visual framework for the wedding ceremony and at the same time serves to improve the acoustics. The back wall of the room features a micro-perforated mural with a section of an old Koblenz city map - a subtle identity reference. The lighting design consists of discreet wall lights and an oversized elliptical pendant light in a central position above the wedding table. The furniture and fixtures made of dark solid wood support the high-quality overall impression of the room, but remain in the background in terms of design for the main characters - the bridal couple.
