Parabola Chandelier is a lighting installation that includes chandeliers hung from the ceiling and floor light in a form of an arch. It is a visual interpretation of natural curve. On chandelier, hand woven fibre optic cables with beads are hung gracefully and form natural curves. As for the arch, it was also made by hanging strings of carbon fibre which forms a natural curve.
This curve was then set and hardened, turned upside down to show a perfect arch that mirrors the parabolas hanging above. Stainless cables and fibre optic cables are placed on top of the other with much tension, creating a moire effect. The combined effect of seeing together chandeliers hung in the air with parabolic curves together with repetitive arches on the ground gives viewers a sense of seeing a natural scenery.
