This breezy and all-white two-room apartment is the latest project of Laura Seppänen Design Agency. Laura did the complete interior design including all the surfaces, kitchen & hallway renovation, furnishing and the final styling. It´s the brand new home of Stina Mäntyniemi, the head of Cosmopolitan Finland. The article was published in Deko Magazine 12/2016 photographed by Krista Keltanen.
The client wished for a clean and monochrome interior without carpets or curtains. Her only unconditional wish was to get a Bertoia chair. Laura aimed for a minimalistic but cozy scandinavian look by keeping the large surfaces solid and using high-guality furniture and natural materials with the actual decoration.
Paperwhite colour recurs in walls, floors and ceilings. The existing kitchen was in a relatively good shape, but was modernized with small changes like replacing the cabinet doors, sink and faucet and painting the old door pullers matt black. New kitchen top made of Carrara marble is one of customers favorite.
The client had a few pieces of furniture remaining from her old flat, so Laura tried to include those to the new plan. All of the furniture is carefully selected from different retailers, boutique shops or online stores from Finlanf and abroad. The final furnishing is a blend of scandinavian design classics with newer Nordic brands.
