Lola’s Abode, an exquisite interior design project by One Wolf Design, has been thoughtfully crafted for a client navigating a significant lifestyle change. Named affectionately after her beloved sausage dog, Lola, this home transformation reflects the client’s evolving identity and the need for a cohesive, nurturing living space.

One Wolf Design undertook the challenge of reimagining the heritage home’s floor plan to enhance its functionality while remaining sympathetic to its historical charm. The original hardwood floors were revitalized with a rich chocolate stain, adding warmth and depth to the ambiance. A specific blue hue, inspired by the stunning stained glass porthole windows in the master bedroom, was carefully integrated throughout the home, infusing brightness into even the dimmest areas.

The overarching design goal was to create a tranquil retreat within the everyday environment. The main bathroom features warm bone and travertine hues, paired with vertical, brick-like tiles that evoke the rustic charm of an Italian villa. This space serves as a peaceful escape, allowing for relaxation and rejuvenation. The kitchen was designed with intimate gatherings in mind, featuring a cozy window bench seat and textured tiles behind striking blue cabinetry, creating a warm and inviting atmosphere for family and friends.
