In Saarlouis in the Saarland, in an old factory, a Mecca for automobile enthusiasts is currently being built on around 8,000 square metres. An oktan-containing world around motor vehicles. The demand is absolutely high quality. This will include the innovative high-tech supplier Braun CarTec, a "Motorloft" as a service centre and lively meeting place for classic old and youngtimers as well as a thematic museum. The exclusive Auto-haus, namely a Brabus partner company, has already opened its doors. With a keen sense of trends, two experienced car dealers have created a "toy shop for big boys". With a great deal of automotive passion, extremely precise craftsmanship and the confidence-building down-to-earthness with which they have been convincing their customers for decades. The current stars in the showroom: a discreetly refined Aston Martin V8 Vantage, a McLaren MP4 Spyder, a Mercedes SLS, a Porsche 911 Carrera 4S, Youngtimer like Porsche 944 S2, but also everyday vehicles.
Today, independent car dealers have to assert themselves against strong competition. Only those who show a clear profile are perceived. The appearance on the market must be strategically planned. Showroom design offers an excellent opportunity to communicate one's own promise of quality and performance in an authentic way. In Saarlouis, the harmonious symbiosis of exclusive vehicle brands and elegant showroom design is particularly striking for visitors. The eye-catcher that characterises the room is an ab-solutely unique specimen: a large, homogeneous, jointless wall surface on 300 square metres with a very individual signature and a silky, glossy surface. The impression is discreetly noble with characteristic trowel curves. It shapes the room and gives it its face. The cool grey tone underlines the luxury claim and accentuates the corporate philosophy.
Walls as a high-quality design element
This individual wall design was achieved using a special decorative putty combined with a special processing technique: PANDOMO Wall by ARDEX. The basis of this product, which has received an AIT award from the architectural medium, is a factory-dyed, high-strength material that can be applied to wall and ceiling surfaces in a smooth or structured manner as desired.
This decorative putty can be applied quickly and easily by a specialist using standard tools in just a few steps. Mixed with water, the decorative putty PANDOMO W3 was applied in thicknesses of approx. 2 mm. Always fresh in fresh to avoid deposits on the large surface. After a drying time of approximately one hour, the surface was lightly moistened again in the second step and the resulting cement slurry was then carefully pressed with a stucco trowel. The individual trowel swings were deliberately retained. They give the wall the desired individual signature. Finally, the wall surfaces were smoothly polished with an eccentric sander until the desired silky, noble surface gloss with its special feel was achieved. Thus the experienced fabricators created within only two days, fast and economically highly efficiently, in only few work steps a highly individual and qualitatively absolutely high-quality result. The result was a showroom with expression and atmosphere of high suitability for everyday use. A very special place for the presentation of absolute high-tech sports cars.
